Ribbon Scarf

This is going to be a scarf as a gift, using one of those curly scarf patterns. It's the kind where you cast on a number of stitches and then increase til you have (approximately) a million stitches on the needles. Right now I'm at 800 stitches, and it's already cramped. I think I'm going to increase to 2400 or 4800 and see how it looks. I want this one to be big and long and fun.
The yarn is a long discontinued Extrafine Merino from a tiny little yarn store in Queens. It's a true worsted weight, and it's 12 ply. It is very plush, kind of like Zara or Aurora.
I don't know how much longer I can work on this before it's way too cramped on the needles. I'm already using two 24inch addi turbos, so soon I might need to start attaching denise cords. That will have to wait til I get back to AZ next week though... why didn't I bring along my denise kit?
I really do finish things, I just have been lazy about pictures! I'll post some finished objects real soon.
